Nahuizalco
This is one of the most important indigenous strongholds in El Salvador, founded and inhabited by the pipils where you can see some local women wearing traditional clothing and where some of the locals still speak in Nahuatl.
Salcoatitán
A small city of Nahuatl origin, its name means “City of Quetzalcoatl”. Counts with one small colonial church dating from XIX century.
Juayúa
This city has a real scultural jewel with is “Cristo Negro” (Black Christ) carved at the end of the XV century. You can enjoy riding a horse in the town, the Gastronomic Festival and the beutiful waterfall of Chorros de la Calera.
